Craft

Roll a new item by rarity, push it from +0 to +12, sell off what you don't need, and forge Shards into a Rune that adds a guaranteed bonus stat to whatever you craft next.

Crafting a new item

Pick a base item and a target rarity — higher rarity costs much more gold and material, and can fail outright at Epic/Legendary (a failed attempt still consumes what you spent).

Rarity is not tier. They are two separate axes and only one of them is crafted. Rarity decides how many affixes roll and how far enhancement can push the item; tier decides the base power the item started with. Crafting Legendary raises the rarity of the base you picked — it does not turn a Tier 2 sword into a Tier 8 one. Every craftable base in the game today is Tier 1 or Tier 2 (21 of them), so the best crafted item is a low-tier base with excellent rolls. Higher-tier bases come from the Shop and from drops.

Materials

Drop from combat, gated by the monster's role — tougher monsters drop rarer material.

Salvage Bench ♻️

Grasplings drop their own materials, and on their own those do nothing. The Salvage Bench turns them into the crafting ladder instead: 5 of any one Graspling material become 1 of the craft material of the matching tier. Nothing you have ever caught is wasted — a stack of Moon Dust is a Rare Crystal, and Void Orbs are Legendary Cores.

Small Coins are the exception: they don't salvage, they sell, for 25 💰 each.

Enhancement (+0 to +12)

Pushes a rolled item's stats further past its rarity, up to +12 — each level costs more gold (40 gold × current level+1) and 1 Rare Crystal, and success chance drops the higher you push it (starts at 95%). A failed attempt never destroys or downgrades the item — only the gold/material spent on that attempt is lost.

Selling

Junk and Common-rarity gear can be sold straight from the Inventory screen for 33% of what the Shop would have charged for it — Uncommon and above are worth more on the Auction House instead. Junk drops from any monster (30% chance per kill, regardless of role or map) purely to be sold — it has no crafting use.

Shards & Runes

Shards are a rarer combat drop (8% chance per kill, any monster) — unlike junk, they're never sellable, since their only purpose is forging. Bring 5 of the same Shard to the Forge to combine them into 1 matching Rune. Bringing a Rune into Craft (on top of the normal gold/material cost) adds a guaranteed bonus stat to the item you're crafting, on top of whatever its rarity roll already gives it.
